Our advice

Before you sign a lease

Some blocks south of Fell still have street-conditions issues — walk at night before signing
Hayes Street is loud on opera-night and event evenings — north-facing units are quieter
Some new mid-rises have pending HOA assessments — request building financials
Parking is scarce and street parking is permit-restricted
