Pacific Relocation's take
The artist-and-maker enclave — character over convenience.
Georgetown is Seattle's most distinctive neighborhood: a 19th-century company town wrapped in the industrial district, now home to artist studios, breweries, and a comics publisher with a national following. We send a narrow but devoted slice of clients here — creatives, makers, and younger renters who want loft character and the city's lowest rents, and who are unbothered by the rough edges. It is not a family neighborhood; the schools rate low and most are a drive away, so we never pitch it on that basis. The trades are concrete: aircraft noise from Boeing Field, industrial truck traffic, and limited transit. For the right client, the character is unmatched and the value is the best in the city.

Our advice
Before you sign a lease
- Boeing Field flight paths create significant aircraft noise — visit the unit during active hours
- Live/work and converted-warehouse units can have nonstandard utilities and zoning — confirm legal residential use
- Heavy-truck traffic and limited overnight transit make a car close to essential — plan parking accordingly
