Pacific Relocation's take
The default downtown answer for executive transferees without kids.
Belltown is the most walkable, most amenity-rich neighborhood in Seattle and the default for senior executives transferred for 12–24 months. Concierge buildings, harbor views, and you can sell the car. Not for families — schools are weak, and the streetscape varies block-by-block in ways visitors won't catch. We caution clients to do a Friday-night and a Tuesday-morning walk through the specific block before signing.

Our advice
Before you sign a lease
- Several blocks (especially 3rd Ave) have street-conditions issues that vary by time of day
- Many buildings charge $150–$300 monthly resident fees on top of rent — read the fee schedule
- Parking is rarely included and typically $250–$400/mo when leased
- Some buildings have pending special assessments — request the latest condo board financials if subletting
