Pacific Relocation's take
The default West LA prestige answer for school-priority families.
Brentwood is what Pacific Palisades was before the 2025 fires changed the West LA landscape — quiet, leafy, family-coded, with top public and private school access. San Vicente Boulevard is the most coveted walking/running corridor in the city, and the Country Mart is the weekend living room. We place healthcare and entertainment industry families here when school priority is high and they want to stay west of the 405. The trade is the commute to anything east — Brentwood is a real geographic island in LA's traffic patterns.

Our advice
Before you sign a lease
- Fire-zone proximity (Mandeville Canyon) requires verifying defensible-space compliance and insurance
- Some hillside properties have erosion or stability concerns post-rain — request geotechnical reports
- Traffic on Sunset Blvd makes east-of-405 commutes difficult — verify your specific pattern
- Many homes are owner-occupied with industry-sabbatical rentals — confirm full-year terms
