Market is Moss Bay's calmer northern sibling: the same lake, the same Peter Kirk and Lake Washington High assignments, but on leafy residential lanes instead of the high street. We place families here who want to walk a stroller to Waverly Beach and still reach Park Lane in fifteen minutes on foot. The housing is mostly owner-leased houses, duplexes, and a few small condo runs, so large dogs and real yards are far easier than downtown — but inventory is genuinely thin and turns over slowly, so plan a wider window. The trade-off is convenience: this is a car-light, not car-free, neighborhood, and the grocery run usually means a short drive. We steer clients to the blocks west of Market Street toward the water for the quietest streets and the best lake glimpses.

- Most listings are individually owned houses — pin down who handles yard care, gutters, and the dock (if any) before signing
- Lakefront and lake-view rentals price on a premium that swings with the season; comparable-shop against Moss Bay before agreeing to a number
- Some older homes still run on electric baseboard or oil heat — ask about the heating system and typical winter bills
