Pacific Relocation's take
The newest, glossiest version of transit-first Burnaby.
Brentwood is our pick for clients who want the Metrotown lifestyle with a fresher, more design-led feel — The Amazing Brentwood has turned a tired mall into an open-air retail district wrapped in new rental and condo towers on the Millennium Line. It suits transit-first professionals and couples who work along the Brentwood–downtown corridor and want everything walkable: groceries, gym, Small Victory's pastries, and a SkyTrain platform all within a few minutes. The newest towers here are the most modern purpose-built rentals in north Burnaby, and recent lease-ups have softened asking rents, so renters have leverage. Families fit moderately — Brentwood Park Elementary and the Alpha/Burnaby North catchments are solid-not-elite, and this is high-rise living rather than yards-and-cul-de-sacs. The honest trade-off is that the area is still mid-build, with active towers block to block. Time a move for late summer when lease-ups compete hardest on free months and incentives.

Our advice
Before you sign a lease
- Many tower lease-ups quote net effective rent after a free month — confirm the gross face rent and your renewal number in writing before signing
- Brentwood is mid-redevelopment; check the construction pipeline on adjacent lots, as several towers mean early-morning noise into 2028
- Parking is commonly unbundled ($75–150/mo) in new buildings — don't assume a stall is included
